Delta Airlines Flight DL185 Suffers Severe Damage in Hailstorm En Route to New York (JFK)

On July 24th, a Delta Air Lines Boeing 767-300 (registered as N189DN) performing flight DL185 from Milan Malpensa (MXP), Italy, to New York (JFK), USA, diverted to Rome Fiumicino (FCO) after the aircraft experienced severe turbulence and hailstorm and diverted to Rome Fiumicino (FCO).

To ensure the safety of the passengers and crew, the flight was diverted to Rome Fiumicino. Post-flight pictures revealed extensive damage to the radome (nose), both wings and the engines.
